Hybrid Tracking

Consent decisions, browser restrictions and technical blockages make classic tracking unreliable. Tracify's Hybrid Tracking automatically adapts to these conditions and combines cookie-based and cookie-free processes into a consistent, GDPR-compliant data basis — without gaps, without distortions.

Adaptive consent detection in real time

Tracify checks every user in milliseconds whether there is a valid consent for cookie tracking. If consent is given, First Party Cookie Tracking is added to enrich the data. If consent is missing, our cookie-free technology automatically applies — seamlessly and in compliance with data protection regulations.

No tracking discrepancies in case of cookie rejection

In classic setups, denied consent often results in inconsistent data. Tracify prevents exactly this with a hybrid tracking structure that makes complete journeys visible even if cookie is rejected. This protects your attribution from distorted results.

DSGVO compliant with full data depth

Hybrid tracking enables the highest data quality without violating applicable data protection laws. Both cookie-based and cookie-free processes meet the requirements of the GDPR without storing personal data. For precise analyses without legal uncertainties.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between Hybrid Tracking and pure server-side tracking?
arrow down

Pure server-side tracking still relies on a client-side base — and fails when that base is blocked by ad blockers, iOS restrictions or missing consent. Tracify’s Hybrid Tracking combines cookie-based and certified consent-free methods in one adaptive system: depending on the consent status, the system decides in milliseconds which method to use — with no data gaps and no configuration effort.

What happens technically when a user rejects cookies?
arrow down

Tracify detects in real time that no cookie consent has been granted and automatically switches to the certified consent-free tracking method. The customer journey is captured just as fully as for a user who accepted cookies — without you having to configure anything.

Is Hybrid Tracking still reliable even with a high cookie rejection rate?
arrow down

Yes — it’s explicitly built for that. Unlike purely cookie-based tools, whose data quality scales directly with the consent rate, Tracify’s tracking quality stays stable regardless of rejection rate. That’s especially relevant in German-speaking markets with their comparatively strict consent requirements.

Does Hybrid Tracking store personal data?
arrow down

No. All captured signals are already pseudonymized, aggregated and fully anonymized on the client side — tracing back individual users is technically ruled out. All data is processed exclusively on servers in Germany, with no data processing outside the EU.
